About the doctor
A surgeon for the whole digestive system
Dr. Aslam Baba is a surgical gastroenterologist. He trained in general surgery and then in surgery of the food pipe, stomach, bowel, liver, gallbladder and pancreas. His work covers advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, colorectal surgery, hernia repair including complex abdominal wall repair, weight loss surgery and cancer surgery of the digestive system.
He also sees patients with acid reflux, ulcers, pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease and liver disease, and advises when surgery is needed and when it is not.
